Vertebrae Mirage Band - Black
Heat from the barrel and suppressor causes mirage, which distorts your field of view.
Using a Mirage band will allow you to channel that heat away from your line of sight.
The mirage band is 50mm wide, with 1mm metal buckles in both ends, and one synthetic cord to allow you to attach it to the scope base or rings if you do not have a screw in the receiver end. The elastic band is solid and does not deform.
Center to center between holes in the attachment plates is 48cm in its relaxed state, and approx. 80 cm stretched. The band maxes out at approximately 95 cm. As we do not really need the band below the scope we recommend using a fiber rope to adjust the length to what you need.
If you are using a suppressor / silencer then our Silencer mirage band rings will allow you to attach that band to the front of the silencer. The M3 Allen head screw both functions as an attachment point, and as a set screw towards the silencer. If you wish you can protect the silencers finish either placing a small piece of tape below the screw, or by placing a small lead pellet under it.
Using a Silencer wrap seems like a perfect way to run your silencer to warm, and basically containing the heat. Not what we recommend.
